The EL-8 headphone project was my humble beginning in the consumer electronic world. Designed by BMW DesignWorks the EL-8 brought a fresh new image to the successful start-up company. Originally known for their utilitarian design approach with the LCD series, the EL-8 broke down those barriers and surprised the HIFI market with Audezes' first ever sub $1,000 headphone. Still in the upper echelon of sound reproduction and pricing - from the viewpoint of the average consumer - the EL-8 opened the 'mass market' doors for Audeze by being their first ever product in Apple retail stores nation-wide. This headphone - being the first ever project I managed - holds a special place in my heart.
